Welcome
Welcome to Moonshadow! I am Laura Voncina and live in Michigan. I currently own one Flat Coated Retriever, Halo, and 2 Golden Retrievers, Lexi and Gibson.
Prior to my current 3 dogs, I have had 2 other Goldens and a Standard Poodle.
And prior to owning my own dogs, I was a puppy raiser for several service dog organizations, including Leader Dogs for the Blind and Paws With A Cause. Between the organizations and over 15 years, I raised 10 puppies (Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, and a Standard Poodle), and whelped and raised 2 litters of 22 puppies.
Shortly after I adopted my own dog, I discovered the world of dog sports. Today I compete with my dogs in agility, obedience, rally, dock diving, tracking, and hunt test work.
I have had one litter of Goldens since having my own dog. Halo is my first Flat Coat.
Breeding Philosophy
I strive to produce healthy puppies with proper temperament, sound structure, and great work ethic. My puppies are raised in my home with early neurological stimulation, early scent introduction, and socialization. I follow the Good Dog program, which I find is very similar to how service dog puppies are raised.
